Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for being on this page and welcome to Modern Times Investors! My name is Duino and this blog is my little space on the internet where I share thoughts and ideas about money, investing and freedom.

If you are looking for ways to increase your income, save more and invest with confidence with the ultimate goal of improving your life, here you can find really helpful stuff!

Why Modern Times Investors Exists

The way you produce your income and decide to use your money has a big impact on your lifestyle and the opportunities to express yourself and enjoy your life.

We all need money to live in our society and for many people the challenge to improve their life boils down to the financial part.

Money is very important. Mastering money is vital, it’s one of the building blocks of a fulfilling and satisfying life. Despite its importance, throughout the traditional education system we are not really taught how to manage money properly.

That’s one of the reasons why we end up spending an entire life working for money, paying with our time, and never spend a bit of time learning how money, finance and investments work.

It’s better to take control. Money is a critical area of your life, whether you care about it or not. At the end of the day, it’s not even about money, it’s about the ability to decide what you want to do with your time, which is real freedom.

The idea of Modern Times Investors is to make a plan for yourself to invest and improve in every area of your life, starting from your finances as your freedom vehicle towards a better life… an exciting and challenging journey.

Who is Duino

Hello there! My name is Duino and I’m the creator of Modern Times Investors. One of the reasons why I started this blog back in 2018, is that I was just shocked at how big is the life impact of being good (or bad!) at managing money.

I am a regular guy, heading towards my 30s and living in the beautiful country of Italy. I’m just curious and eager to increase my financial intelligence and I’m fond of personal finance and investing because of their potential to change your life for the better.

I have a master’s degree in economics and finance, I’m an individual investor and over the last few years I’ve been studying a lot on my own in order to get hands-on experience and gain a deeper understanding of how things actually work (someone would say “formal education makes a living; self-education makes a fortune”).

While this blog doesn’t want to be “the ultimate website” on anything, I honestly hope that you will find valuable information on how to manage your money well in order to achieve your life goals, whatever they are.

A Piece of Advice

Today it’s so easy to access information that you literally have no excuses: if you don’t put yourself on the right track it’s 100% your responsibility.

The path to financial success is a well-beaten one, everyone can manage money well and be a successful investor, the payoff is huge an what’s required is knowing what you are doing and taking action.

On the other hand, however, it’s almost automatic to end up into information overload. Everything seems so interesting but todays attention economy is noisy, realizing that 99% of the stuff out there is just not relevant by any means to achieve your goals is liberating.

First educate yourself with knowledge that is actually useful and then move quickly into action.

Don’t get stuck because you feel something is missing, gathering information while not making any actual progress. There’s always another post to read or video to watch, but you can’t read or watch everything anyway.
A big part of the game is managing yourself and the key is to find what works for you.
